How do the Checkpoints work?

To avoid the frustration of a fall, the courses are divided into stages. By stepping on a pressure plate (checkpoint), you record your progression. If you fall, you will be instantaneously teleported to that point to resume your run.

What are the different levels of difficulty?

The servers generally classify their maps from 'Easy' (to learn the basics) to 'Extreme' or 'Insane'. The highest levels demand a perfect mastery of timing, sprint and angles of view.

What is the Speedrun and Leaderboard system?

The competitive aspect is central: an automatic stopwatch follows your time right from the start. The best times are displayed on a ranking (leaderboard), allowing you to measure yourself against the experts of the community.

Which types of jumps are the most complex?

Beyond standard jumps, you will encounter 'Neo-jumps' (jumps around a block), ladder jumps, fence jumps or even jumps requiring the use of slime blocks to bounce.

Is this a good mode to train for other game modes?

Absolutely. Mastering parkour greatly improves your movements in PvP (Escape, Pursuit) and your agility in Survival. It is the basic exercise for any complete player.

Can I create and share my own courses?

Many servers propose a 'Creative Parkour' mode where you can build your own challenges, test them and submit them to the community so that they are played by others.
