What is the difference between Survival and SMP?

Survival is the global game mode based on difficulty and progression. SMP (Survival Multiplayer) is a variant that emphasises community, group projects and social life rather than just competition or combat.

How do I protect my builds from theft (Grief)?

Most servers use a 'Claims' system. Using a command or specific tool, you can claim an area where only you (and your authorised friends) can place or break blocks.

Is the server reset regularly?

It depends on the server type. 'Seasonal' servers restart every few months to offer a fresh start, while 'Persistent' servers keep the same map for years to encourage very long-term projects.

Is it possible to earn money while playing?

Yes, 'Economy' oriented servers often offer Jobs. You earn virtual currency by mining, farming or selling your resources to other players via an Auction House or spawn shops.

Are there limits for farms and redstone?

To ensure game smoothness (TPS), some servers limit the number of entities, pistons or villagers per area. If you are a technical player, check the server rules before starting large automation projects.

Why choose a server with a 'Resource Map'?

A resource map is a separate, regularly reset map where you can mine and harvest without defacing the main world (Build Map). This allows for keeping a living world clean and aesthetic over the long term.
