What defines a 'Pure Vanilla' server?

A Pure Vanilla server uses the official software from Mojang without any plugin or mod. Players do not possess any additional command and must move or exchange resources as in a solo match, but with other players.

How are protections and theft managed?

In pure Vanilla, there is generally no 'Claim' system. Security relies on trust between members and an attentive moderation which verifies the logs to ban malicious players (griefers).

What is the difference with 'Semi-Vanilla'?

The Semi-Vanilla conserves the original feeling but adds some comfort tools indispensable for multiplayer, like chest protection, the /home or optimisation tools to reduce lags.

Do all Redstone farms work?

It is one of the greatest advantages of the Vanilla: all technical mechanics (iron farms, gold farms, complex circuits) work exactly as foreseen by the developers, without being bridled by performance plugins.

Which version of Minecraft should I use?

Vanilla servers privilege almost always the very latest stable version published by Mojang in order to benefit from the new biomes, blocks and functionalities right from their release.

Is this mode adapted to long-term projects?

Absolutely. Without the congestion of complex plugins, Vanilla servers are perfect for communities that wish to build persistent worlds over several years, favouring human exchanges and monumental technical projects.
