Do I need to install a mod to play on a Pixelmon server?

Yes, Pixelmon is a major mod that requires a modified Minecraft client (often via Forge). The most used and recommended version is generally 'Pixelmon Reforged'.

How do I start my Pixelmon adventure?

Upon your first login, an interface will let you choose your starter from different generations. You will then receive your first Poké Balls to start capturing wild Pokémon.

What are the key elements added by the mod?

The mod adds structures like Pokémon Centers and Poké Marts, as well as essential items: PCs for storage, healing machines, and Apricorn trees to craft your own Balls.

Do Pokémon have unique characteristics?

Absolutely. Each Pokémon has attack, defense, and speed stats, as well as natures and special abilities (IVs/EVs) that greatly influence their power in battle.

Is there a competitive aspect on these servers?

Yes, most servers organize regular tournaments, feature leagues with badges to collect, and offer a turn-based combat system faithful to the original games.

Where can I find the mod to join a server?

You can download the mod manually or use popular launchers like CurseForge or Technic Launcher, which facilitate installing server-specific modpacks.
